Mining and construction has always been a difficult field for management. Not only is it one of the few industries where blue and white collar workers are rubbing shoulders, sites are remote and teams fragmented. Online collaborative platforms are thus an ideal solution for this environment. The saamwerk stakeholders identified the potential of this niche and started putting together a highly qualified team consisting of people with a track record in large scale system design and implementation, project management, business analysis and system administration together. Not only did we become a Microsoft partner but we also developed some strategic alliances with other companies such as Computer Initiatives (Pty) Ltd (ERP implementation) to provide expertise and products beyond our own.
From these relationships a strong
service orientated architecture developed and was well received in the market after initial hesitation – change is always hard. Essentially a change management company,
saamwerk takes clients on a journey of discovery, teaching new ways of corporate collaboration. In this journey, the following aspects are addressed:
